About this Event
Overview
Join ExamPro Training Inc. for a hands-on, instructor-led workshop for developers and tech professionals who want to move beyond toy agents and build something genuinely capable.
You'll start with the codebase of a baseline specialized AI agent and extend it with four architectural layers: memory, goals, orchestration, and scheduling. By the end of the session, you'll know how to design and build an agent that holds up outside a demo.
You can follow along with Claude Code or the coding harness of your choice.
What You'll Learn
The workshop walks through six parts:
- Architectural introduction to the baseline agent
- Orchestration modification for our extended use case
- Extending memory management
- Extending goal management
- Extending scheduling
- Additional architectural considerations
Expect a mix of instructor-led walkthroughs, live demos, and guided exercises in your own environment.
Level and Prerequisites
Level 150–200 (Advanced Beginner to Intermediate). This is not an intro workshop. To get value from the session, you should have:
- Practical experience with a coding harness (Claude Code recommended)
- A basic understanding of AI agents, the agentic loop, and tool use
- Basic programming skills (variables, classes, functions in any language)
- Basic familiarity with containers (e.g., docker-compose up)
- Basic comfort with a Linux terminal or Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)
Who Should Attend
Tech professionals with advanced-beginner to intermediate agent-building skills who want to go beyond toy agents.
Claude Code Camp vs This Workshop
Claude Code Camp is an online paid bootcamp that takes people through the steps of building a baseline agent and you are left to extend it to make it more capable. This workshop is specfically showing how to extend the baseline agent.
What's the Project
The specialized baseline agent we are extending is built to play an open-source Multi-User-Dungeon (MUD). A MUD's enviroment was chosen because they're state is constant changing and agent reasoning and featuresets can be explored.
What to Bring
- Your own laptop and power adapter
- Claude Code, or your preferred coding harness — with an active subscription or API credits on your own account
- Docker installed locally, or plan to follow along in GitHub Codespaces
- A code editor (e.g., VS Code) installed, or follow along in GitHub Codespaces
- A GitHub account (recommended)
Format
Classroom-style, instructor-led. Bring your own laptop. The room will have a projector, power, and reliable internet for participants.
Session structure (4.5 hours total):
- 30 min — setup and intro
- 1 hr — Learn block 1
- 1 hr — lunch Q&A and networking
- 1 hr — Learn block 2
