Mike works with competitive and non-competitive riders, and with horses and ponies of every age, breed, and type. You donโt need to be competing, riding at any particular level or have a top bred horse to join โ just keen to learn.

Mikeโs calm, empathetic approach is built on 'training through explaining', using traditional classical dressage techniques that are easily understood by the horse. He promotes a kinder way to ride and train โ without force or fear โ encouraging horses and ponies to work softly through their bodies, with correct alignment and good posture.
Classical dressage is about gymnasticising the horse to develop strength, suppleness, and straightness, helping them perform at their best and stay sound for longer; creating balance and longevity through correct, thoughtful training.
With extensive experience in equine rehabilitation, Mike also specialises in restarting remedial horses, as well as starting young horses, with confidence and clarity.
