Experience the beauty and elegance of classical music at our upcoming concert! The theme of the concert is centered around the universal concept of love. Through a selection of musical pieces that evoke various aspects of love, such as passion, longing, joy and heartbreaking, the concert will explore the depth and complexity of this powerful emotion.
A Ukrainian/Canadian Soprano Valeriia Honchar will be sharing her voice through the works of many different composers such as Mozart, Schumann, Poulenc, Kos-Anatolsky and many more. This wonderful concert will be filled with a rich variety of music in five languages. Valeriia is a crossover singer who sings in three different genres: opera, musical theatre and pop. She became one of the honored people in receiving the grant of The Hnatyshyn Foundation’s Ukraine-Heritage, Spirit and Future program in a Classical Music – Vocal Performance discipline. Valeriia has given several solo concerts and plans to have more in the future. She participated in many different events, festivals, and concerts. Joining Valeriia will be phenomenal accompanist and vocal coach Paul Digout. A talented musician who has been invited to be part of many different Young artist Programs in Canada, United Kingdom and Italy.
This concert is a fundraising concert aimed at supporting the upcoming summer Europe tour to Vienna (Austria). In this wonderful summer program Valeriia will be covering the roles of Amy in Little Women and Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte. Valeriia has always been a supporter towards her homecountry Ukraine, especially in its hard times. Valeriia was part of many beneficial concerts in Canada, and US and continues to help. This event is no different, a portion from each ticket will be donated towards supporting Ukraine.
