About this Event

Piedmontese cheese is renowned for its unique blend of flavors, textures, and cultural significance. Three key factors make it special.

First, Piedmont has a rich agricultural heritage. It's fertile valleys and mountainous terrain provide ideal conditions for grazing livestock, producing high-quality milk that forms the basis of many Piedmontese cheeses. In addition, cheesemakers in Piedmont have passed down traditional techniques for centuries, resulting in cheeses with distinct characteristics and flavors. And finally, Piedmont's diverse geography and microclimates give rise to a wide range of cheeses, each with its own unique qualities.

Some of the most famous Piedmontese cheeses include:

Fontina d'Aosta: A semi-hard cheese known for its buttery texture and nutty flavor.
Gorgonzola: A blue-veined cheese with a creamy texture and pungent aroma.
Toma: A semi-soft cheese that comes in various flavors and can be enjoyed fresh or aged.

To fully participate in the class:
1. Reserve your ticket through Eventbrite! Purchase one ticket for each member of your party. The ticket price includes admission for one as well as a cheese plate, wine, and accompaniments for one.
2. Show up on the day of class! Class will begin at 7:30pm. This is a standing event in our retail learning setting. The duration of the class is about an hour and a half. After class, there will be time to tour our cheese caves as well as shop our expansive product selection (at a 10% discount!).
3. This event is for 21+. Our staff will check IDs at the door.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend a class, please let us know at least 72 hours before the class is scheduled to take place and we will give you a full refund or a credit for a future class. If you don't let us know in advance of the class, you are not entitled to any refund or credit.
