The Mixing Mediums - Workshop Series is instructed by our wonderfully talented artist and instructor, Jess Hughes of Vibrant Hughes. This is a 5 class workshop series, each class is 2 hours in length and offered at the Currents studio. Each class focuses on a different art medium and instruction flows from examples of Jess' personal art works. This workshop series is geared toward folks 15 years of age through adulthood.Classic Paints: This workshop teaches the basic skills for acrylic, and oil painting, with a focus on how to combine the two effectively using fire fairy in a candle as an example. This will cover the main differences between these two types of paint, and helpful tools for each to help effectively create artwork. This will additionally teach the proper way to layer these paints to avoid flaking, and to ensure your work will last. An additional 15 minutes for questions will be provided towards the end of the workshop. This workshop is designed for those 15 years old through adulthood.
