The Clark College Orchestra performs “Connections” under the baton of Dr. Rafael Rodriguez, Director of Orchestral Activities. The performance is Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 7:30 pm at Garver Theater, 1500 NE Garfield St., Camas, WA. The program features soloist Erasmo Solerti in Guiterrez’ Violin Concerto, Schumann’s Manfred Overture, and Brahms Symphony No. 3. The admission is free and open to the public. “It has been my immense pleasure to lead the Clark College Orchestra this year as its new conductor, and I'm already looking forward to a great season of eclectic and exciting programming for next year and for many years to come. Our last program for this season introduces a violin concerto by Costa Rican composer Benjamín Gutiérrez performed by Maestro Erasmo Solerti, concertmaster for the Heredia Symphony Orchestra and Professor of Violin and Viola at the University of Costa Rica. A specialist in Latin American repertoire and currently editing a critical edition of this work, we're thrilled to be able to share this important Central American concerto with our audiences in the Pacific Northwest and to share some of the beauty of this culture with our musicians. We're also excited to take the orchestra out to perform in Camas and we hope to see you there!” Dr. Rafael Rodriguez
