A professional musician with over 35 years of experience, Clark Andrew Libbey has spent his life writing songs and playing shows. For the last 22 years, he has been barnstorming the Southwest as a solo artist and with The High Desert Playboys playing his unique blend of original americana, old country, cajun music and acoustic classics.
HIs songs combine soulful vocals and delicate melodies with a deeply imaginative palette of stories and lyrics. Drawing from a rich landscape of characters, he delves recklessly into universal truths, off kilter stories and world of his own creation, hoping to find catchy, enchanting melodies. He has 4 solo albums, and has been a part of writing and producing more than a dozen more. He is currently releasing music on Slow Start Records out of Dallas, TX and produces records in Albuquerque, NM.
His latest singles with Kristen Rad, a version of the classic song “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” and an original duet "Shipwrecks in the Night", and a new single from The High Desert Playboys, “How Will I Know When I’ve Fallen”, are available now on all platforms.
