An exciting opportunity to attend one of Corinne Wrend's workshops- Clarity in communication!*Corinne Wrend is a positive sports dog coach, she has competed in Working Trials, Competitive Obedience and IGP. Corinne qualified 3 of her Malinois to IGP 3, and competed at a world level twice.*
There is some theory to start with in the classroom with handlers participation.
Corinne will push the handlers a little and question why they are doing things a certain way.....
(If people really don’t want to then that’s fine.)
Corinne explains marker words in detail - really explores what they are, what we think they are and what the dog thinks they mean!
Corinne will explain how we can use them better to benefit our training and the dogs understanding.
She will discuss in detail reward/location markers - do we need them, if so why do they work?
Also cues, pictures and body language - being aware of our body language and our environment and how it affects our training.
Each dog will be invited in one at a time and Corinne with coach each handler to help them achieve better progress with a new understanding of marker words and communication with their dog. ( Your dog will need to be happy to sit and wait in your vehicle. There is a training paddock avaliable for leg stretches and leg walks.)
There is also the opportunity to purchase a spectator ticket if you wish to just observe and not participate as a handler.
Refreshments and parking on site provided free of charge. All training inside the training barn.
