baggage, Broadway, a planned proposal, and...Daniel Radcliffe?
Bios:
Josephine Cornwall (She/They)
Josie is a Sydney-based singer, actor and dancer. From a young age she worked
with music producer Nick Howard on the Copycatz Project at Universal Music and
continued to create children’s pop music independently with Nick Howard, and later,
Nathan Eshman. Josie has over two decades of combined training in classical ballet,
theatre jazz, singing and acting. She graduated from the McDonald College’s
Musical Theatre program in 2016 and has holds a Bachelor of Music: Music Theatre
from the Australian Institute of Music (2020).
Between 2019 and 2022 Josie workshopped and performed the titular role of ‘Alice’
in Andy Freeborn’s original musical based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in
Wonderland. Josie continues her training, having recently completed and Margi De
Ferranti and Queenie van de Zant’s Australian Music Theatre Academy in 2024, and
studies with Penny Martin (dance) and Beth Daly (acting and voice). Josie is a proud
biracial woman of Caribbean and European descent.
Austin Burrows (He/Him)
Austin is a Sydney-based writer and actor who grew up singing and dancing in over
twenty amateur theatre productions in his hometown of Rockhampton, Queensland.
During this time, he was fortunate to work under the direction of Katie and Wayne
Scott Kermond on Wicked (Understudying ‘Fiyero’, 2017), Mary Poppins (2016) and
Evita (2015). He graduated from the Australian Institute of Music in 2021 with a
Bachelor of Music: Music Theatre and continues to study dance, acting and voice.
Since moving to Sydney in 2017 his roles have included The Proprietor in Assassins
(Lane Cove Theatre Company), Lawrence Jameson in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
(Australian Institute of Music) and The Lecturer in Reefer Madness (Australian
Institute of Music). In recent years, Austin has focused on writing and developing
original plays, novels, cabarets and musicals.
