Claire Askew became a crime fiction writer by accident. Having been an established poet for over ten years, she found herself ruminating on an idea for a novel that she wished someone else would write, so she could read it. When it became clear that wasn’t going to happen, she was forced to take matters into her own hands. Fast-forward a few years, and she has somehow become the author of a six-part crime series. How did it happen? Claire still isn’t sure herself…
