Looking to bring hands-on history into your homeschool curriculum this spring?Hi! I’m Emmaline Leandro, a member of the American Battlefield Trust’s Youth Leadership Team, from Gilford NH, and I’m passionate about helping young students truly connect with history—not just memorize it. My work focuses on storytelling, hands-on learning, and preserving the stories and values that have shaped our country.
I’m excited to invite you to my first event: a Civil War Storytime for ages 5–10.
 April 16
 Gilford Public Library
 3:30–4:30 PM
This program is designed to be both educational and engaging, with:
• An age-appropriate historical picture book
• A hands-on craft rooted in the time period
• A simple snack inspired by Civil War–era life
My goal is to create opportunities for children to experience history in a way that builds curiosity, character, and a deeper appreciation for the past. I’m also working on several other events throughout the state, including a larger event with the New London Historical Society (more to come!).
If you are interested in bringing this to your library, school, homeschool co-op, etc, please reach out, I would love to connect!
If you’d like to support this project, here is my Amazon wishlist with supplies to help make these experiences possible:
