About this Event

Join us for the Civil Rights Trail Tour from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama! Get ready for a journey filled with history, inspiration, and fun.

Our adventure begins as we board the Freedom Riders bus from the historic West Hunter Street Baptist Church in Atlanta, a symbol of the resilience and determination of the Civil Rights Movement. As we embark on our journey, we'll break the ice with some fun games and activities to foster a sense of community among our fellow travelers.

Along the way, we'll make stops at significant landmarks, including the iconic Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, where brave individuals stood up for their right to vote. We'll also visit the National Voting Rights Museum and Institute, where we'll gain insight into the sacrifices made by those who fought for equality.

But it's not all serious business! We'll also take time to indulge in delicious soul food at local eateries, where you can feed your body and soul while enjoying fellowship with your fellow travelers. Please note that lunch is not included in the tour price, so be sure to bring some extra cash to savor these culinary delights.

As we travel to Montgomery, we'll honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Ralph David Abernathy, a key figure in the Civil Rights Movement and a close associate of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His courage and commitment to justice continue to inspire us today.

Our tour will culminate in Montgomery, where we'll visit historic sites such as Alabama State University and the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, where Dr. King and Rev. Abernathy once preached. As we explore these sites, we'll be surrounded by the beauty of Alabama in springtime, with blooming flowers and lush greenery adding to the richness of our experience.

Join us on this unforgettable journey as we celebrate the heroes of the Civil Rights Movement, indulge in soulful food and fellowship, and embrace the beauty of Alabama in springtime. Let's honor the past, celebrate the present, and work towards a future of equality and justice for all.
