What if the things that feel “stuck” in Sioux Falls aren’t personal failures but system outcomes?This Wednesday, we’re launching Week 1 of the Civic Studio with a 90-minute gathering called “Seeing the System.”
We’ll explore:
• why good people keep producing frustrating civic outcomes
• how systems quietly shape behavior
• where real leverage for change actually lives
• and how to practice seeing, and redesigning, those systems together
This isn’t a lecture. It’s a practice lab.
We’ll gather, hear a story, learn a few foundational tools from systems thinking, map a real local issue, challenge each other’s assumptions (kindly), and leave with a practice to try in the real world.
No expertise required.
Just curiosity, humility, and a willingness to learn together.
