We're calling on the City of Wichita to revise its proposed Douglas Avenue redesign to align with earlier plans that prioritized safety, accessibility, and multimodal transportation.The City of Wichita has scheduled two Open House presentations to show the latest plan and allow the public to voice their opinion. Monday, November 24th, 2025 at the Advanced Learning Library.
Bike Walk Wichita and the City's Bike and Pedestrian Advisory Board oppose the recent city proposal, and urge the city to include bike lanes, safer lane widths, and better pedestrian access.
