About this Event
Come join the City of Griffin for a trash cleanup event and celebration of Earth Day and of Georgia Cities Week.
Trash is a significant problem many of the watersheds in the City of Griffin. Trash and debris are washed into our creeks and streams from roads, yards and businesses and eventually ends up as someone's drinking water. It litters our streets and the ditches that line our roads. Come help us make a difference.
We will be gathering at the City of Griffin Stormwater Department at 865 South 9th street, Griffin, GA 30224 on April 25, 2026 at 9am to get cleanup materials and equipment. Groups will pick up an trash and debris found around neighboring streets and creeks in.
The City of Griffin will provide trash bags, gloves, grabbers and reflective vests. All volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle, hat, bug spray, sun block and protective clothing, including long pants and closed toe waterproof shoes.
Help us protect our water quality, clean our neighborhoods and celebrate Earth Day.
