This event will be outside City Hall (90 W Broad St) at the Portman Plaza facing W. Broad St between N Front St and Marconi Blvd.
Hosted by Columbus City Council, the 4th Annual Columbus Africa Day 2026 Celebration commemorates the founding of the Organisation of African Unity, now known as the African Union. The celebration will honor not only the advancements and achievements of the diverse African communities in Columbus, but also the initiatives and projects that have empowered generations to preserve their cultural heritage while contributing to the city’s growth and vitality.
This year's show will have free food as well as an African market, performances, and a keynote address. Remarks will also be given by Columbus City Councilmembers and leaders in the diaspora.
Free first-come-first-serve parking can be accessed at the Coleman Garage which can be accessed at 144 N Ludlow St.
