About this Event
The City of Charlotte is creating the Charlotte Arts & Culture Plan for all of Charlotte-Mecklenburg and we need to hear from YOU! This event s for anyone who is interested in strengthening Charlotte’s Arts and Cultural future through visioning and engagement. All are welcome!
Community Kick Off Event Tuesday, August 23rd from 6pm-8pm at Avidxchange located at 1210 AVIDXCHANGE LN Charlotte, NC 28206
We want to hear from artists and Charlotte- Mecklenburg residents of all ages and backgrounds to discuss Charlotte' arts and culture needs, challenges and priorities. You will hear from City of Charlotte leadership, the consultant team, Lord Cultural Planning, and have the opportunity to make your voice heard. There will be activities, project information, food, and opportunities to experience local art and culture in person. We hope you can join us!

What is an Arts & Culture Plan?
An Arts & Culture Plan collects data from across communities, builds consensus among residents, and creates agreement on a vision for arts and culture in an area. This vision is then used to create policy frameworks, strategies, and an actionable plan to cultivate and support a thriving, sustainable arts and culture community for the benefit of everyone.
Why create an Arts & Culture Plan for Charlotte?
Arts and culture are central to providing a vibrant quality of life for all people, and play an important role in economic development by attracting businesses, new residents, and visitors to a city.
