The City of Carrollton's City Council meeting on February 4th (1945 E Jackson, 7pm) will include a vote to change zoning for one house in our neighborhood to be used as a short term rental (VRBO, AirBnB, etc) The neighbors in the "buffer zone around 2706 Brookshire" have the right to vote on this change. Opposition must be 20% of the overall included to force the Council to have a supermajority on its vote on the same issue.. If you live on Brookshire, Devonshire or Coventry, you may want to get with Mega Hier, our secretary, who has taken the time to get educated on the situation so that you can make your vote known.Voting Cards must be in by Monday End of Day to city hall to count!
For the rest of us, it is a good show of neighborhood to attend the meeting if you're able. Residents are permitted 3 minutes to speak if you choose.
