National Public Works Week is May 19-25. Public Works week aims to recognize the professionals who serve our community every day by managing and maintaining our facilities, roads, parks, delivering public transit services, planting flowers and trees, and much more. Join the City on May 25 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the annual Touch-a-Truck event.
At this free family-friendly event, visitors will be able to get an up-close look at City vehicles, including a Burlington Transit bus, street sweeper, snowplow, fire truck, zamboni, and more. Experience what it’s like to operate a snowplow and backhoe in a simulator or visit the forestry booth to speak with staff on what’s invading our trees and ways to improve tree health.
Admission and parking are free. Parking is limited and visitors are encouraged to carpool or take Burlington Transit.
We look forward to seeing you!
