Participate in Citizen Science with Feminist Bird Club Albuquerque–Santa Fe by logging birds and other wildlife on iNaturalist!
This event is part of our Albuquerque weekly birding series. Our small team of birding facilitators will lead the group on a 1.5 mi journey across Valle de Oro NWR to identify as many species as we can! No birding experience is necessary. We are an inclusive, intersectional feminist birding group; all ages, abilities, and identities are welcome here.
We will meet behind the Visitor Center promptly at 8:30 and will begin birding by 8:40.
Please bring binoculars if you have them. We have a limited quantity of loaner binoculars that participants may borrow for the excursion. Be sure to wear sun protection, wear comfortable shoes, and bring water!
Depending on facilitator availability, there may be an opportunity for people who do not wish to or cannot travel so far (1.5 mi) to stay at the observation deck and do stationary birding.
