Join us for a Farm Tour at the City Green Farm Eco-Center! The Farm Tour gives you an inside look at what’s in bloom in the gardens and what’s growing in our farm fields. You’ll get to meet and ask questions of City Green farmers and gardeners, gain insight into our sustainable gardening and regenerative farming practices, and learn what’s in season at the Farm Eco-Center. Seasonal sights in June include roses, ornamental alliums, red and green lettuces, herbs, snap peas, and more!
The Farm Tour will include:
- An inside look into what our farms look like at the height of the growing season.
- An overview of what’s blooming this season in our gardens.
- A tour of our brand new greenhouse.
- Insight into our farming operations, including our no-till bed system, crop plan, high tunnels, and more.
- A chance to harvest & taste farm-fresh snap peas.
Registration
- This is a free event, but registration is required as spots are limited.
- The Farm Tour is open to participants of all ages. Children 3 and under do not need a ticket.
About Accessibility:
- The tour of our Learning Gardens is accessible for assisted walking devices, strollers, and wheelchairs. The farmhouse, farm fields, festival space, permaculture hill, and all restricted areas are not accessible and do not have paved pathways.
- Strollers are not recommended due to a lack of paved pathways throughout the farm fields.
Event Safety Policies
- The Farm Eco-Center is a working farm with uneven ground and areas without paved pathways. We highly recommend wearing closed toed shoes that are comfortable for walking in uneven terrain.
- This is an outdoor facility with bees, insects, and other critters. Please come prepared with your own bug spray.
- Bee Allergies: Please notify a staff member if you or a member of your party is allergic to bees. In case of an emergency, City Green staff are not authorized to administer any medications.
