π₯ DGI CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE SUPPORT FOR ENDORSEMENT MEETING π₯Join our Irvine City Council Support For Endorsement Meeting β it's YOUR opportunity to hear directly from those Democrats who are running for mayor and city council in Districts 1, 5 and 6 in this November's election, in which it's crucial that Irvine maintains its Democratic majority** on our council
**Irvine currently has a 5-member Democratic majority on the council -- out of 7 -- of which the positions for mayor and city council in Districts 1, 5 and 6 represent 4 out of the 5 members that represent the majority.
Come to the meeting and meet the candidates, hear their visions, and ask questions. The meeting will be hybrid via in-person and on Zoom.
NOTE: Only DGI members-in-good standing who are present at the March 18 meeting β either in person or via Zoom β will be eligible to participate in the club's online support-for-endorsement vote. This vote is prescribed by our club's bylaws as the required step to direct our representative's vote in the Democratic Party of Orange County's endorsement process for Irvine Mayor and City Council.
