No prior circus experience is necessary! The workshop will kick off with a fun group game and warm-up, setting the stage for a series of exciting circus skills circuits.
Workshop Content:
Hula Hooping: Learn basic manoeuvres including spinning the hoop on your hands, waist, neck, and even your bum, along with some manipulation tricks.
Poi Spinning: Master the basics of poi spinning, including forwards, backwards, and changing direction.
Plate Spinning: Get the hang of plate manipulation, from spinning a single plate on a stick to passing it to other participants.
Ball Juggling: Enhance your hand-eye coordination with 1, 2, and 3 ball tricks, focusing on throwing, catching, and balancing.
Acro Balance: Learn basic partner counterbalances and attempt some exciting tricks in a safe, controlled environment.
Like the show, this workshop places great emphasis on creative play and self-empowerment, allowing participants to carry these imaginative experiences into their daily lives. It is the perfect introduction to circus arts, providing a unique opportunity to connect with the performance and the artists themselves.
