About this Event
Circular Economy Students Showcase, Saturday, May 2, 12:00 - 2:00 PM
Exhibition On Display at the AD EX May 2 – May 5
UTA students present their midterm design-build projects, exploring circular economy principles in architecture, construction, and material reuse. This exhibition showcases small-scale structures, outdoor interventions, and installations that prioritize reclaimed, upcycled, or repurposed materials while emphasizing sustainable, low-impact fabrication.
Projects include gazebos, seating, shading structures, planters, and other public-realm artifacts designed with material circularity, design for disassembly, and community relevance in mind. Students demonstrate how linear “take–make–waste” thinking can shift toward regenerative design that extends material life cycles and reduces environmental impact.
Join us for a presentation and discussion with students and faculty to learn how circular economy principles are applied in real-world design, from concept to buildable assembly.
