Join us for our very own #CEweek2023 event with cooking workshops and exciting sustainability collaborators. This is a chance to meet sustainability-focused food producers AND hone your cookery skills in a professional kitchen.
Learn how to feed the world better with healthier food systems by joining our cooking workshops on Thursday, 19th October.
Here’s what you can expect from the event:
- Introductory talk on integrating circular economy principles into our food systems by Ellie Harrison, Senior Sustainability Consultant at Sustainable Restaurant Association.
- Get to meet our most innovative suppliers:
- grows and makes flour with regenerative farming methods and supplies some of the best bakeries and restaurants in the UK - including Fooditude. will be on hand to talk about Wildfarmed and help us roll some bread!
- is a wholesaler that rescues surplus fruit and veg from New Spitalfields Market. , Co-Founder, and will be popping by the event to show us the tasty potential of surplus produce.
- produces a wide range of delicious fermented products made of veg trimmings like discarded cauliflower leaves. , Founder and Director, will be joining us for a kimchi making demonstration.

A little more about our guest speaker: Ellie, Senior Sustainability Consultant at Sustainable Restaurant Association
Ellie is a food-systems and sustainability professional with experience spanning the NHS, UK start-ups, farming and consultancy. Ellie became employee #1 at allplants in 2016 where she built the logistics, procurement and sustainability functions and strategies from scratch. In 2021, Ellie graduated from the Forum for the Future's School of System Change.
Ellie has worked on several farms to better understand the impact of our food at source and is now working at The SRA as a Senior Sustainability Consultant, delivering impactful projects with bespoke objectives for a range of food businesses.
