Happy holidays everyone! The next STEM Scout activity will be Circuit Seekers. Our first meeting back will be on 1/20 @ 630pm (location remains RRES). Looking forward to the next topic. We will work on modules during the first 2 meetings and the last requirement will be to visit a museum. Parents who plan to attend please let me know through comments and please tackle requirement 1 at home PRIOR to our first meeting.Circuit Seekers
This module designed to help you explore how electricity affects your life each day.
Choose A or B or C or D and complete ALL the requirements.
(A) Watch a documentary or episode about electricity, such as: Magic School Bus Gets Charged, Bill Nye the Science Guy: Electricity, or Nat Geo Kids: (anything on energy). Then do the following:
Make a list of at least two questions or ideas from what you watched.
Discuss two of the questions or ideas with your adult leader.
(B) Read at least two age-appropriate books or articles about electricity. Then do the following:
Make a list of at least two questions or ideas from what you read.
Discuss two of the questions or ideas with your adult leader.
(C) Watch a live demonstration or presentation, virtual or in person, with an electrician or electrical engineer. Then do the following: (1) Make a list of at least two questions or ideas from what you read and watched. (2) Discuss two of the questions or ideas with your adult leader.
