We would be honoured to welcome you into a safe space for sharing what really needs to be heard about your individual journey with Chronic Illness – however you define that to be.
It is our intention to create a balance of sharing our challenges with other kinds of sharings – such as our strengths, insights, gifts and resources. You may wish to spend some time beforehand to think about things which nourish you ~ such as people, places, animals, aspects of nature, colours, scents, music, arts, favourite foods, teas, personal blankets etc. Some of these you could choose to bring with you, or have set up for you to return to afterwards.
The setting
Druid Woods near Ashburton, is a lovely woodland setting, allowing for a bit of nature connection. We will sit around a fire and there is a cover for light rain. (In the event of more heavy rain/wind we will try to relocate.) There are benches with cushions, but you are welcome to bring alternative seating, such as a camp chair. Teas and snacks will be available. There is a compost loo.
In terms of accessibility - if you haven't been there before and have accessibility concerns, please do get in touch. There is a 3 min walk, gently uphill, from the parking area, but for those for whom that is too difficult, there is space for a couple of cars near the seating area, and we can always arrange to bring you up there if necessary. There is also the possibility of wheel chair access.
Cost & Booking
We are asking for a donation of £5 - £25, if this is too much for you please do get in touch. If you can contribute more, please consider doing so - that will enable us to offer bursaries where needed. We are also donating our time.

When you are ready to book a place I will give you bank details to make a donation, on receipt of which your place will be secured.
Please note this will be a very small group, so places will book up quickly. Your place will only be reserved once I have had confirmation in the form of a donation.

-Drive out of Ashburton on North Street and turn left over the bridge onto Headborough Road.
-Keep driving past Holne cross and Highgrove.
-A little further up the hill on the right hand side is a traffic cone- the entrance to the woods.
-If you get to the junction at Auswell you have gone too far.
-Please drive in and park alongside the track, closing the deer gate behind you. Thankyou.
