Circle Cinema Sandbox, the live monthly script reading series, returns on Tue 4/14! Your latest script could be part of this exciting event. If you have a script – whether a short film or an excerpt from a longer work – submit it for consideration! Email your script to [email protected]. Scripts must be no longer than 10 pages, and six scripts will be selected for a live reading.What is Circle Cinema Sandbox?
Hosted by PJ Sosko (actor, director, and writer), Circle Cinema Sandbox is a unique, free event open to the public that offers a collaborative evening of script readings for writers and actors here in Tulsa. Each month, writers have the opportunity to hear their scripts come to life as actors perform cold readings, making instinctual decisions in real-time.
Circle Cinema Sandbox is typically on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, with the next edition on Tuesday May 12.
Event Schedule:
7:00pm: Actors arrive, are introduced to the writers, and quickly read through the scripts in preparation for the staged reading.
7:30pm: Staged script readings begin, free and open to the public.
Enjoy great insight into the creative process, as actors and writers collaborate live.
The concession stand will be open throughout the evening, so grab a popcorn, a drink, and enjoy the event!
How to Participate:
For Writers: Submit your script by emailing [email protected].
For Actors: Arrive at 7:00pm to join the pool of actors who may be cast in the evening’s readings.
For Guests: Join us at 7:30pm for the staged readings and experience the creative magic in action.
Meet Your Host: PJ Sosko
PJ Sosko brings two decades of experience across TV, film, stage, and voiceover work. He has worked with notable artists like David Strathairn, Anne Dowd, and John Magaro, and has appeared in national campaigns, TV promos, and award-winning video games. PJ's career highlights include portraying MacMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and bringing Hunter S. Thompson to life in The Girls on the Bus for MAX. He’s also worked with renowned companies like Naked Angels, EST, and Primary Stages, and has directed and starred in films like Stuck in Muskogee, which was featured at the Circle Cinema Film Festival.
