Undeniably one of the most talented individuals to ply their trade in the drum and bass scene across the past decade, Chris Garvey's fresh musical journey with his solo project as Circadian has seen the producer and DJ showcase his sonic versatility, ingenuity and prowess like never before. Although this new alias only launched in 2023, Circadian has already released some of the most notable rave anthems of the last few years.
Born in London, UK, Garvey grew up with a love for music and began DJing at the age of 16, quickly developing a passion for drum and bass music before starting to produce his own tracks. After eventually teaming up with Nick White to form The Prototypes in 2010, the groundbreaking duo became synonymous with writing stadium-shatteringanthems such as "Pale Blue Dot", "Electric", "K*ll TheSilence", and “Reason feat Lowes”, enjoying great success in the drum and bass scene.
Now fully immersed in his new Circadian project, Garvey says the alias represents "The Ying Yang of Rave Culture".With collaborations with Sota, Friction, Mozey, Koven &Dirtyphonics, remixes for the legendary Basement Jaxx andCamo & Krooked, and releases on Armada, UKF, Monstercat, Elevate Records, and SleeplessMusic all under the belt, the seismic nature of the project’s early years pays testament to Garvey's versatility as a producer and his ability to write D&B weapons that resonate with the scene's current and ever-popular sound.
