About this Event

Small World Cinema is delighted to present Cinemini, a specially designed film event for young children with short films, free play and activities to inspire creativity and curiosity.

We begin by watching a programme of short films after which the children are free to explore and play with colour, movement, light, and shadow in our specially created film playground. We conclude by showing the same films once more, enabling the children to draw a link between what they have watched and what they have experienced while playing.

We hope that you and your child will join us for a cinematic play session at Bromley Central Library.

At Small World Cinema we know that film has a major influence on how we see ourselves and the world around us. As the early years are so important for development, how can we make film watching more meaningful for our children?

Cinemini events offer a moving image 'playground' with films and activities for children between 3-6 years old. The programme gives children (and parents) the opportunity to discover the diverse world of film and experience the wonder and awe that the moving image can bring. By watching, playing and talking, we want to stimulate the development of creativity and critical thinking and spark a love for film.

Small World Cinema is a film club and festival for young people and families celebrating the best of children's cinema from around the world. Our relaxed screenings and workshops offer a warm welcome to anyone who feels they would benefit from a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

This event is part of Small World Cinema's season of films and creative fun for local children and families at Bromley Central Library.
