(NOTE: Rescheduled to October 9th due to late posting of the event and a 48 Hour Film Project happening this week.)Key Media will be hosting a monthly Cinema Showcase at the Community Organizations Promoting the Arts(COPA) facility in Fitchburg and everyone is welcome! The second Wednesday evening of each month will feature Wisconsin filmmaking artists, bringing you some of the highlights of their work.
Come see films not-before-screened locally and connect with the leaders of Wisconsin's Film Future.
This will be an interactive event meant to stir communication and connectivity between the filmmakers of Wisconsin and fans of independent cinema, as well as an opportunity to bring a spotlight to COPA's plan for an Arts Campus in Fitchburg.
This week, I'm honored to show some of my films I've done outside of the 48 Hour Film Project:
"Save the Bread" - my final film school film, a dystopian sci-fi satire
"The Blackjack Hotel" - a trailer for a puppet film noir
"Barbarian & Monk" - 2 episodes of this sword & sorcery series shot here in Wisconsin!
There will be a Q&A session with myself (the director, Michael Chang Gummelt) and I'll be looking for feedback from my fellow local filmmakers on how I can make "Barbarian & Monk" better for audiences.
I look forward to seeing you all there and will really value your feedback.
