We’ll be screening Reality by Matteo Garrone, a sharp and unsettling portrait of modern Italy through the lens of celebrity culture.
The film tells the story of Luciano, a charismatic fishmonger from Naples whose life unravels after he auditions for the reality TV show Big Brother. What begins as a lighthearted dream of fame soon spirals into obsession, blurring the lines between illusion and reality and exposing the seductive yet destructive power of television and consumer culture.
