Cincinnati's 6th Annual National Day of Racial Healing

Cincinnati’s 6th National Day of Racial Healing is a city–county day of action designed to activate healing within our neighborhoods, bring our communities together, and launch our collective commitment to developing the Healing Cities Act. The day is structured in two parts: Community Healing → Collective Alignment, Commitment & Celebration.

THE COMMUNITY HEALING MORNING SESSIONS (From 7am - 11am) TAKE PLACE IN THE COMMUNITY IN A VARIETY OF LOCATIONS — A list of each healing activation will be available for you to choose from closer to the event date!

THE AFTERNOON ACTION LAB SESSION (From 1pm - 5:30pm) WILL HAVE EVERYONE IN ATTENDANCE AT THE FREEDOM CENTER.

Info: Each committed organization will host community-led healing experiences facilitated by local partners, leaders, and organizations. Participating agencies and community champions are asked to commit to “Healing Cincinnati” by hosting one activation in their neighborhood. The purpose of this year's morning session is to begin healing within our communities by uplifting the leadership and wisdom that already exists, honoring neighborhood culture, and grounding the day in community voice.
● Examples include healing circles, COPE, ABCD, yoga, meditation, art, or documentary
screenings.
● We recommend that each healing activation take a group photo and share with the hashtag #CNDORH

Info: Within this session, participants will focus on healing governance and policy alignment. This 'Action Lab' will serve as a collective commitment moment where individuals and organizations sign on to support the Healing Cities Initiative. Using a multi-sector approach, attendees will collaboratively co-design local solutions, sketch funding strategies, and create equity pathways. ALL participants will gather for an afternoon of connection, celebration, and forward movement. Healing starts here, as this is a day with unity, momentum, and a shared commitment to a three-year journey of healing-centered governance across the city and county.
