About this Event
After reading The ** Brain by Dr Lisa Mosconi, I was struck my how little doctors are talking to us as women about brain health, the impact of menopause on our brains and the things we can do to prevent Alzheimer’s, even if we are genetically predisposed. We know how to eat well and exercise our bodies but how much do we know about how to eat well and care for our brains? There is a lot we can do now that will have a long lasting impact on our brain’s health and vitality in later years.
As a result, CIGNA and HUB will be hosting a Women's Brain Health Symposium on Thursday, June 8th! This session is devoted to ways we, as women, can keep our brains healthy and combat Alzheimer’s disease as we age. We welcome you to join us for this educational program and brain healthy lunch!
Topics to be discussed include:
• Alzheimer’s Disease and Women: The Silent Epidemic - Ana González Seda, MPH - Alzheimer’s Association San Diego
• How Sleep Impacts Brain Health – Dr. Derek Loewy, SCRIPPS Health
• The ** Brain: Women's Hormones and Their Impact on Brain Health/Alzheimer's – Dr. Keith Wilson, CIGNA
• It's NOT All in Your Head: Brain Health, Inflammation, and the Belly-Brain Access – Hayley Cornell, CIGNA
Feel free to invite a female executive colleague to join us! Seats are limited so please RSVP at your earliest convenience.
