About this Event
Paul Wilborn’s short-story collection, Cigar City: Tales From A 1980s Creative Ghetto, turns five in 2024, and we are celebrating in the courtyard!
Cigar City, a collection of linked short stories about the young artists, writers, poets, musicians and actors who inhabited Tampa’s Ybor City in the 1980s, was the first book published by St. Petersburg Press and won the fiction gold medal in the 2019 Florida Book Awards.
After the initial roll out of the book was cut short in 2020, Wilborn is now taking Cigar City on tour, and he is making a special stop at Tombolo Books!
The event will feature a conversation with Wilborn, special guest Eugenie Bondurant reading a complete story from the book and live music by Wilborn and his band, Front Porch Picnic, and more!
