Brighton-based duo CIEL are making waves with their bold blend of moody indie rock, shoegaze, and post-punk. Fronted by Dutch singer-songwriter Michelle Hindriks and powered by drummer Tim Spencer, CIEL’s sound is equal parts haunting and urgent.
Their new single “Call Me Silent” explores neurodivergence and identity, marking a personal and creative evolution. Known for their dreamy yet gritty aesthetic and support from BBC Radio and Clash, the band recently toured with The Jesus and Mary Chain.
With a community-driven studio in Brighton and a commitment to introspective, boundary-pushing art, CIEL are a force to watch in the UK alternative scene.
