About this Event
Step into the future of air filtration standards and discover what it means for your projects, systems, and energy performance.
For years, air filter selection relied on a testing method dating back to 1993. But with global practices evolving—especially following the 2012 revision of EN779—these standards no longer reflected real-world performance. This gap meant that filters specified in designs didn’t always deliver as expected in operation.
Now, with the introduction of AS 16890, the industry takes a major step forward.
Join us as we unpack this updated standard and what it means for you. Learn how AS 16890 moves beyond outdated classifications, introducing 50 clearly defined performance levels that more accurately reflect how filters perform against real airborne particles—from coarse dust to fine particulate matter (PM₁, PM₂.₅, and PM₁₀).
Who should attend
If you’re involved in selecting or managing HVAC systems, this session is for you. Whether you’re a building owner, mechanical designer, facility manager, maintenance engineer, or contractor, you’ll gain valuable insights to help you make smarter, more effective decisions.
What you’ll gain
Walk away with a clear understanding of how to maximise airborne particulate removal while keeping energy consumption in check. Discover how better filter selection can improve indoor air quality, system performance, and operational efficiency—all at the same time.
Don’t miss this opportunity to stay aligned with global best practices and elevate your HVAC strategy.
