CIBSE South Wales are pleased to bring Max Foster and Adam Scott of Hoare Lea to the region for a technical seminar on Soundscape Design in Wales.
Please note the change in venue, Hoare Lea are kindly hosting us at their new office in Cardiff City Centre.

The Welsh Government has published a national strategy on soundscapes, which aims to create appropriate soundscapes, meaning - the right sound environment in the right time and place.
The need for appropriate soundscapes is an important factor for everyone’s health and wellbeing, particularly in the design of buildings and their spaces. The key take away is that there's more to soundscape design than noise reduction.
Join us from 17:30 onwards at Hoare Lea Cardiff for networking, food and drinks before the seminar at 18:00.

In this session, we will cover:
- make soundscape design tangible;
- encourage a new holistic perspective of sound and psychoacoustics;
- show how soundscape design fits in with biodiversity and urban greening;
- give examples of how different engineering disciplines can influence soundscape design;
- empower engineers to think of sound in context; and
- summarise what the latest soundscape policy means for future planning applications.
