Information
w/ Makena'aloha, Josiah Day, LilyCiara Elise is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon, now rooted in New Orleans. With a sound reminiscent of Big Thief, Haley Heynderickx, and Joni Mitchell, her music is grounded in lyric-forward storytelling wrapped in acoustic guitars tender, honest, and unhurried. Her debut album, Splinters and Other Keepsakes, is a collection of transformations: coping with loss, shedding old identities, and choosing to stay gentle. Written throughout her first two years of adulthood, it draws from various influences to form a convergence of dream pop, indie rock, and acoustic folk ballads.Josiah Days music bridges the gap between folky indie rock artists such as Alex G, Mj Lenderman and the Backseat Lovers, and harder rock inspirations such as Sonic Youth, and Nirvana. He is from Houston, Texas and now lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has played at Carrollton Station, Gasa Gasa, and Maple Studio Productions, a local DIY basement venue where he and his friends organize shows.
