CHXMERAS and Apparatus present
Vancouver experimental electronic duo CHXMERAS present the release their debut album, Terminal City, in spatial sound at Lobe Studio.
Haunted by the ghosts of technological alienation and fractured identities, Terminal City is a crepuscular soundtrack to lost futures, a reckoning with our fragmented present, and immersive, cinematic passage through the ruins of late stage capitalism, environmental degradation, and urban decay.
CHXMERAS weave film samples and field recordings with elements of dub, techno, ambient, and hip-hop into cinematic, kinetic sounds that moves from fractal noise and abstract beats to polyrhythmic modular synthesis.
The album is available on limited edition cassette and digital via Virtua94 Records.
