About the Symposium

This full-day symposium will explore groundbreaking research that is shaping the future of brain injury care—from concussion protocols to biomarker development, imaging innovations, and the lasting effects of repetitive head impacts.

Attendees will hear from leading clinicians, researchers, and experts, including:

  • Micky Collins, PhD – UPMC Sports Medicine
  • Anthony Kontos, PhD – UPMC Sports Medicine
  • Joseph Maroon, MD – UPMC Neurosurgery & Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Donald Whiting, MD – Allegheny Health Network
  • Kevin Guskiewicz, PhD – President, Michigan State University

This symposium is designed for physicians, researchers, clinicians, athletic trainers, medical professionals, and all those passionate about advancing brain health.
