All U need 2 know about LOVEMACHINE:
Claus Bachor and Roland Casper, through their work as resident deejays in the legendary Cologne Rave Club (1988/89), fundamentally shaped the Rine area's club culture in terms of House, Acid and Techno for the electronic club culture that followed between the Rhine and Ruhr for the next 37 years. In contrast, more specialists because less known to the masses if no less logical, both as collectors and fundamentally experienced jocks in the subject are as deeply rooted in the Soul, Funk, and Disco/Mutant Disco/HiNRG sound of the 70s and the early 80s as well. In this context, Bachor looks back on an 8-year "Lovemachine" residency in Cologne's Barrcauda Bar-Club and another 7 exciting "Muzik Boxx" years in Munich's legendary Pimpernel nightclub. While Casper, in parallel ways, has been covering the Cologne Deelite Club and ZOO Bar as well for a number of years on this subject.
So today's LOVEMACHINE Special once again conjugates all the classic tracks that the "Psycho Thrill Cologne" residents Claus Bachor and Roland Casper influenced significantly before their own Rave Club period and always beyond. At the same point, their own club-mixes like "MUZIK BOX part 1 + 2" and others are also a serious reference to former Cologne DJ stalwarts such as Jo Funk (Coconut), Carol Martin (MALESH D / Coconut / Moroco CGN) and Klaus Stockhausen (Coconut / later Front HH). Whose work in the whole Rine Area has been going on since the mid of the 70s, and did not remain without their significant impact on Bachor and Casper till today.
Basically, not much needs to be said about the "Lovemachine" club night at the FILMHAUS. Except perhaps for the fact that both protagonists behind the "Wheelz of Steel" will only play their own original Disco and Funk early House vinyl gems. So that it should also be a special pleasure on this night to be able to enjoy all the classic disco-affine Black Gold 12"s while dancin' there to it. True to the uplifting motto "Fast, Funky and Fantastic" ... all nite long!
