About this Event
Welcome the festive season by learning the traditional winter craft of wreath making using sustainable resources, mostly sourced from within Hyde Park. Then enjoying a piece of cake with tea and coffee!
Join us at The Hyde Park Learning Centre in the middle of Hyde park, at https://goo.gl/maps/JoGhADxAbAXpFZ5w8.
- Discover the historic origins of some of our favourite festive traditions as well as folklore about the plants we’ll use.
- Spend a few relaxing hours as we guide you through the steps to make your own willow base and then decorating it with lush greenery collected from within The Royal Parks.
- Complete your wreath with traditional accessories of your choosing such as raffia, orange slices, and cinnamon sticks. Everything you need to make your sustainable wreath is provided.
- Once you're done, indulge in a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee and admire your handiwork!
