Arcady is thrilled to invite you once more to celebrate the holidays with its acclaimed professional chorus, youth chorus, instrumental ensemble, and fabulous soloists! ‘Christmas with Arcady’ will be held on November 30, 2024, at 7:30 PM at St. Andrew’s United Church. This year’s program includes brand new holiday works from our very own Canadian composers Emma Theresa Verdonk and Benjamin Gabbay as well as much-loved Arcady Christmas classics by our artistic director Ronald Beckett such as Stille Nacht, Adeste Fideles, and In Dulci Jubilo.
It will also feature Beckett’s dramatized setting of “Touro-louro-louro” by French classic composer Nicolas Saboly who is credited with authorship of many of the traditional French Noëls Provençaux that we now know and love. Audiences can look forward to hearing “I live” - a Beckett setting of a poem by Arcady Youth Singer Niesje Van't Hoff and a thrilling first for the ensemble.
