St Mary Magdalene’s 13th Christmas Tree Festival!
The event is not to be missed this Christmas time. Saturday 6th December doors open 4pm
For over 10 years the Christmas Tree Festival has provided festive fun for Wandsworth!
There's nothing more magical than strolling through the Victorian church with a glass of mulled wine a mince pie surrounded by a forest of sparkling Christmas trees. Each tree is sponsored by a local business a charity a local family or group with its own unique and imaginative decoration. The kids enjoy some fun activities and even get to visit Santa in his grotto and get a present. Plus there are refreshments and stalls including beautiful floral decorations home produce and more. Make sure you visit before stocks run out perhaps let the children enjoy craft activities or enjoy the model trains (steam and clockwork) while you sup a cup of tea or some mulled wine.
We will also be holding the St Mary Mags Prize Draw again this year with lots of great prizes to be won! Look out for the link to buy your tickets soon!
All proceeds from the Festival go towards the Awareness Foundation. The Awareness Foundation is an international charity which builds peace through education equipping and empowering children and young people in the Middle East to be agents of love and reconciliation. It was founded by our very own Revd. Nadim Nassar. So many are still struggling after the devastating earthquake last year and now fear the wider instability in the region. We want to help them to continue to inspire and empower young people and children to regain hope and be part of building peaceful communities.
The trees will be decorating the church throughout the advent period including during Christmas Carols on 14th at 5pm. To see all the details of Christmas services click here.
