An evening of showcasing the best amateur photography from local people in our great city of Bradford, such as last year's winner: 'Goldcrest at Northcliffe' by Jack Taylor.If you would like to enter the competition, please make sure you submit your photos before the deadline on 30th November 2024. To enter, email your photos to [email protected] or bring prints to any BUWG event.
The competition is free to enter with a maximum three entries per person. For full rules see below.
This event is ticketed at £4 for non-members and £2.50 for BUWG members. This goes towards the venue hire and can be paid in person on the night by cash or card. Please book a place by contacting our Secretary vie Facebook Messenger or Email ([email protected]). This ensures we do not go over the room’s allotted capacity.
This is a relaxed seated environment with a Christmas-themed tea, coffee and nibble break!
Wheelchair access and disabled toilets on site.
The library car park free is to use for the event from 7pm onwards, located behind the library off Central Avenue. Additional parking is on the surrounding streets Manor Lane, Alexandra Road, and Kirkgate, free to use from 6pm. Shipley Library is a 3-minute walk from the market square bus stop and an 8-minute walk from the train station.

PHOTO COMPETITION RULES:
Photos to be taken during 2024, and in the Bradford District.
Photos should fit the theme of Bradford Urban Wildlife!
Although wildlife is the central theme, entrants will gain extra credit based on their interpretation of the whole title. Please include where and when the photo was taken, and to give as much information about how/why you captured the shot as you like! Photos illustrating animal behaviour will also be judged favourably. Pictures taken on mobile phones are welcomed too.
BUWG will have the right to publish images submitted in relation to the competition, with appropriate credit to the photographer, who will retain copyright.
