The Heraldry Society warmly welcomes you to enter our Christmas On-line Quiz.

Test your knowledge of heraldry against other enthusiasts. Learn secrets about heraldry from the past and present. Augmented by lots of beautiful heraldic images.

We are looking forward to a splendid evening of social merriment and conviviality, combined with a challenging but fun quiz. The questions will range from easy to perplexing. There is no need to be a heraldic expert, enthusiasm, guesswork and brio may well see you win a prize. Historic fun for all the family.

As last year there will be questions on Christmas heraldry, The College of Arms, Corporate Heraldry, Canting, Supporters, Badges, Unusual Beasts, Royal Heraldry and much more.

Unlike our lectures, which will remain free to view, there will be small charge for this event. All the money raised after costs will be donated to support the St John Ambulance Association. Over the past year, this vital organisation has been working extra hard to provide care for those in need. Many of their usual fundraising events have had to be cancelled so it’s very important that we all do what we can to help.

You can either enter as an individual (£5.00) or as a team (£20.00). Teams can be any number of people between two and five people.

It will not be necessary for teams to all be physically present in the same place. Further information on how the quiz will be conducted on-line will be communicated nearer the time.

There are some great prizes for winning

1) A personal heraldic tour of Higate Cemetery by Stephen Overton and David Phillips.

2) A voucher to the value of £100 to be spent on books in the society's online bookshop.

3) Two tickets for Windsor Castle

4) A bottle of Heraldry Society Coronation Gin

Final joining instructions for the quiz, including the Zoom web link, will be sent to enrolees on the day of the lecture/quiz after the enrolment window closes on the day of the lecture/quiz.

Please book an individual ticket if you are competing alone or a team ticket for any group entry of between two and six for this virtual event.
