Join Metro Detroit Game Night for our annual Christmas / holiday party and an epic evening of board / card / tabletop games. Newcomers welcome! For those interested starting *an hour early at 6pm* we'll have an optional gift exchange game (see below for important details). We'll also have Christmas music, (21+) vodka, and of course plenty of holiday magic throughout the evening. Please wear some kind of holiday flair - or grinch out if you must but we'll have some extra santa hats just in case your heart grows three sizes during the party. The games we're going to play won't be set in stone in advance - we'll pick them together and go over the rules before we start. We have a growing library of 500+ games to choose from (https://tinyurl.com/2jfacxj9) but feel free to bring your own too if you like.Gift exchange details: if you want to participate in our *optional* gift exchange game please arrive an hour early at 6pm (and no later than 6:10pm!) and bring three wrapped (or fully concealed in bags) gifts. They should all be relatively inexpensive, don't expect to get amazing gifts out of this, and one of them should be funny or silly in some way. We play a game based loosely on Sinterklaas, a Dutch gift exchange game, which is waaay more fun than White Elephant.
Please park on the nearby side street to the Southeast called Irval Drive. No parking on the grass. BYOB if you're 21+ and planning to drink while you play, whatever food you like for snacks and / or dinner, and anything you want to play that isn't in our board game library. Please note there are no shoes allowed on inside (except medical boots) but you're welcome to bring your own clean slippers if you like.
Please do us a favor and join our Meetup Group (https://www.meetup.com/Metro-Detroit-Game-Night/), Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/MetroDetroitGameNight/) and like our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MetroDetroitGameNight/) too. This group is and will always be completely free - all we ask is that you RSVP and join and help spread the word about the awesomeness!
