“The EU Fab 6 - Savour the PDO and PGI Wines and Deli Meats“
Garnacha is enjoying a sustained renaissance in Spain, particularly in the country's Northeast, one of the variety’s core regions. This revival is especially notable in the appellations of Campo de Borja, Cariñena, Calatayud, and Terra Alta, where a new generation of producers has rediscovered Garnacha and its many old vines. They are now crafting complex, well-structured, and balanced wines with great finesse.
The wines of Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux, Premières Côtes de Bordeaux, and Cadillac owe their unique character to a distinctive terroir nestled between the Garonne and the hillsides, cultivated over generations by pioneers of the region. These wines are well-suited to life’s many occasions, with fruity, modern, and delicious white Bordeaux options as well as fine and complex red wines.
In celebration of the Christmas season, the Garnacha Origen Association from Spain and ODG des Premières Côtes de Bordeaux et Cadillac from France, as members of the Consortium for the “EU Fab 6: Savor the PDO and PGI Wines and Deli Meats from Europe” campaign, co-financed by the EU, cordially invite you to a Master Class and tasting event featuring a wide selection of Garnacha, Bordeaux, and Cadillac wines perfect for Christmas pairings.
The event will be hosted by Sarah Jane Evans, Master of Wine and journalist, alongside producers from the Spanish and French PDO and PGI regions.
