About this Event
From the snow-dusted cobblestones of 1940s Mott Haven comes a story of broken dreams, fierce love, and the healing power of forgiveness.
Christmas in The Bronx tells the unforgettable tale of the McCallehan family—where baseball dreams collide with devastating loss, and a father and son must find their way back to each other.
Meet Lefty McCallehan, whose promising baseball career was stolen by war, leaving him scarred and bitter. Watch as his son Johnny grows up in the shadow of that pain, forbidden to chase his own big league dreams—until he dares to defy his father and leaves the boroughs and his knucklehead friends to claim his destiny with the New York Yankees.
Years later, Johnny returns home to face the unsettled past. Can the ghosts finally rest? Can two generations of McCallehan's find peace beneath the streetlamps of the Bronx?
Join us this December as Christmas in the Bronx transports you to a time when community meant family, and Christmas miracles still happened on East 34th Street in the Bronx, New York.
